The Asian Social Enterprise Summit (ASES) 2012 took place from 2nd July to 4th July 2012 at the city of Jeonju, Korea on a theme of "creating solidarity among Asian social enterprises and an environment that promotes sustainable growth". There're more than 110 participants from 21 countries joined ASES' policy forums and fair & exibitions.
Korea is one of the few countries who established the legal framework to support social enterpreneurship, it was a great chance for us.
Opendream is one of the two participated social enterprises from Thailand. Since our assets are our team members, human resources, skills and all of our works are on the cloud the best way to exibit our works is to create a physical object as shown above.
We learn and meet lots of new friends across Asia, from sustainable traveling and co-working space in Seoul, Korea to zero-waste restaurant in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, there're new collaboration and cooperation emerged from this event. We're super exiting about the coming Asian Social Enterprise collaboration network.
As a tech-start-up and social enterprise, we're trying to prove that our passion of bridging the gap between technology and social sector as well as generate a sustainable revenue stream works and keep us fun, at least 4 and a half years.
Exciting? Join us.
